The Sri Lanka Association of Geneva (SLAG) handed over a financial contribution from their members to the "Rebuilding Sri Lanka" Fund for recovery from the devastation caused by cyclone "Ditwah".
On 23 December 2025, on behalf of the Association, President, Mr. Gangadhara Herath, and Treasurer, Ms. Ishara De Silva, handed over the financial contribution to Ambassador Himalee Arunatilaka, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the UN in Geneva, and Ambassador Samantha Wijesekara, Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization, at the Sri Lanka Mission in Geneva.
Ambassador Arunatilaka expressed gratitude to the SLAG membership for their generous donation to the people of Sri Lanka during this difficult time. The Ambassador also recalled with appreciation , the continuous financial support being provided by Sri Lankans in Switzerland through the Mission since the establishment of the "Rebuilding Sri Lanka" Fund and in-kind assistance being provided to be sent to Sri Lanka.
