Urgent relief supplies collected by a group of Sri Lankans in Switzerland to help those communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah were handed over to the Sri Lanka Mission in Geneva on 26 December 2025. The Mission will arrange the dispatch of these donations along with other relief items being received from the Sri Lankan community in Switzerland.
This donation includes a generator, high-pressure cleaning machines, kitchen utensils, baby care items, sanitary and cleaning items. Representing the group of supporters, Mr. Priyankara de Silva and Mr. Mohamed Ramzan handed over the items to Ambassador Himalee Arunatilaka, Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, and Ambassador Samantha Wijesekara, Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization, at the Mission in Geneva.
The Mission extended its deep appreciation to the group for their timely support and discussed future collaboration for further assistance in the effort to rebuild Sri Lanka.
